On August 15th, local time, the Santu Mountaintop Microgrid Project, Guinea's first microgrid project in West Africa, celebrated a significant milestone. With the decommissioning of the last diesel generator on site, the project officially commenced operations, successfully achieving full-load green electricity supply through a combination of photovoltaics and Energy Storage.

The project is divided into three sub-projects based on mining areas, with a total configuration of 7MWp photovoltaics + 7MW/21MWh of energy storage. The first phase of the Santu Microgrid Project, which launched this time, utilizes a 3MWp Photovoltaic System+ 3MW/9MWh of energy storage. The existing diesel generator system was converted to a backup system, creating a comprehensive Energy System integrating photovoltaics, energy storage, and diesel generation, providing a stable supply ofgreen electricity to the industrial park. With the project's commissioning, the industrial park's power supply will completely transition from diesel generation to a photovoltaic green power generation era. This not only effectively resolves long-standing issues of exhaust and noise pollution, but also significantly improves the quality of work and life within the industrial park.

During the project construction, team members overcame challenges such as tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and difficult mountain construction. By drawing on experience, overcoming difficulties, and optimizing solutions, they achieved high-quality completion, demonstrating their strength in overseas project delivery and energy solutions.
